about 15feeds
welcome to 15feeds.com - a simple concept, but hopefully a useful one! It struck me recently that I was spending a lot of time going around lots of different websites and looking at a lot of waste content in my quest to keep up to speed with news and current affairs, sports, technology, gadgets...all I want to see is the headlines, and pick what I want to read!
so I decided to create a website to aggregate rss news feeds provided by all the sites I like, enabling me to view all the latest stuff written with the minimum of effort and time.
from the outset I wanted the design to be simple, clean and easy to use and navigate...that was the easy bit, and the layout (css controlled, and not a table in sight!) was done in about a day...the hard bit was finding a name! everything imaginable seemed to have gone, and then...I suddenly thought of 15feeds, thinking it would tie in as I was ending up with about 15 feeds on each subject page.
names safely registered, 15feeds.com was moved to its server on November 13th 2006, so as I write this its only been live for about 2 days. each category has 15 feeds in it, although I still have to finish the sports one ;-)
I've certainly found it very useful so far as it saves a lot of time during lunchtime news browsing! hopefully all visitors will find it similarly useful and easy to use. the feeds have been selected by me, and there may be others you wish to see - if so, then send an email nominating the feed you would like added, and if enough people email asking for the same one, I'll squeeze it in...hows that for social :-D

NEW! we have today added a mobile edition of 15feeds, a much-cut-down faster loading version designed to be easy to use on mobile devices, offering popular feeds from each of our six main categories. make a not of the address, and have a look next time you're bored to death on a train/bus etc
